Senior Quantity Surveyor

Working Location : MUAR, JOHOR

Salary Range : MYR 4,500 - MYR 5,000

Responsibilities:

COST PLAN / BUDGETARY

  • Prepares an estimate costing for the Projects’ Cost of Preliminaries and Project Budget
  • Conducts market research on the estimate Project Budget vs current Market Price.
  • Review and evaluate the pre-tender proposal for each package of works
  • Plan and strategized costing for material, method and input.

PRE-CONTRACT STAGE

  • Administer the pre-contract work including analyzing scope of tender, sourcing of contractors/suppliers, preparing tender documents as required within set datelines
  • Prepare/produce/facilitate Bills of Quantities and costing for contract works
  • Review and evaluate tender documents/quotations received and prepare report for presentation to HOD
  • Participate in tender interviews and negotiate on the proposals.
  • In-charge of the issuing the Letter of Award/Appointment to successful Consultants/Contractors and ensuring its documentations are in order.

POST CONTRACT STAGE

  • Acts as an intermediate personnel in corresponding between the Company and consultants or contractors on issues or matters arises.
  • Delivers updates and keeping HOD in a loop on the Project progression, follow ups and etc.
  • Minutes of Meeting coordinator and ensure all the discussion topics, matters or issues highlighted are captured.
  • To verify the contractor’s monthly progress claim and keep track on the Variation Orders submission.
  • To manage, control and update the Project Budget yearly.
  • Responsible to monitor the cost of expenditure against awarded contract sum.
  • To review and verify the final account for completed projects.
  • Ensure ISO compliance's are practice and adhered for all the Projects.
  • To carry out any other ad-hoc duties/assignments as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Survey or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, MANDARIN
  • At least 3-4 years working experience in the related field required.
